Lil D is the epitome of a picky eater... like pulls out the bread and peanut butter from the pantry every time he is hungry (he also pulls out ketchup and ranch dressing.. which I think means he wants chicken nuggets...who knows.) Offer the kid a vegetable... insert tantrum here! Griffin on the other hand isn't as picky but still when it comes to veggies... no way, no how, NO thank you. So when I heard about the V8 V-Fusion Vegetable & Fruit juice from Mommalogues I knew we had to give it a try. I picked the Strawberry Banana flavor because those are their two favorite fruits.. No brainer!
We don't typically drink a lot of juice in our house lately it's been milk, water, and occasionally apple juice (still watered down 50/50 ratio) so this was a treat for the boys. I decided while Daddy was at football practice to set up an art station, turn on some music and make a fun evening while we drank our juice.
Setting up an art station is super easy just cover the counter/table/tray/floor with some thick craft/wrapping paper and supply crayons/marker/stickers and you're good to go!
I, of course, had to get in on the fun and I was really impressed. No vegetable flavor just yummy fruit juice. No one would ever guess that they were getting an entire serving of fruit and veggies in each 8 oz. glass. I think this would be a great addition to my morning smoothies for some sweetened vegetable goodness. How did the boys like it you ask? Well as you can see from the photos below it was a hit! They slurped it down and were asking for more and you know that I gave it to them because that meant they were getting even more veggies in their bodies and that is a win in my book!
And now when Lil D pulls out his bread and peanut butter.. he also pulls out the V8 Fusion Juice.
