Mimi's New Menu

The other night I took my husband with me to his first blogger event! We went to go try the new menu at Mimi's Cafe. I know a lot of you are thinking but that's just a brunch place?? Yes, they do have excellent brunch but did you know that back in the day Mimi's was know for the French cuisine and was a super popular, like lines out the door dinner restaurant??

Mimi's executive Chef Katie Sutton and the new owners Le Duff America, Inc. wanted to bring back some of that magic and created an all new, very French, very delicious menu. Chef Katie is about the sweetest person you'll ever meet and has some mad cooking skills.

We were treated first to a glass of champagne with a drizzle of a french liquor that was a touch sweet and super delish! My hubz was excited to get a beer.. for free!

We met up with our friends, the Harding's then it was time for some grub!
We were started off with some fabulous appetizers. Petite Seafood Crepes, Artisian Baked Brie and Mussels a la Mimis. They were all really good but I think I especially liked the seafood crepe! Next up was the soup course. I went with the French Onion soup which is back to Mimi's original recipe and it did not disappoint. Shortly after our main course was served. I opted for Pasta Carbonara a la Mimis while Rachel got the Tournedos du Boeuf, we went splitsies!

My husband sat at the end of the table with the chef and pr rep and upon receiving his meal Rachel and I hear "I chose right" when he got his burger. He's so funny.
And as a surprise.. we got to try out some delicious waffles! So yummy but I was SOO full I didn't get to really eat much of them.. I will be going back to try these ASAP!
All in all it was a fun night and great experience to try out some amazing food. We are anxious to go back and try the other menu items!

Please note that I was not required to write this blog post I did receive free dinner for me and my husband as well as a $20 gift card to come back in the future. I wrote this post because we enjoyed our experience and food. As always all opinions are 100% my own.
