As I mentioned in my Mickey favor bag post I was selected to host a Disneyside Celebration. I decided to keep the guest list small and have just a few friends over with their kiddos and I invited my folks to come eat as well.
The night before the party I threw together some cute paper garland and Mickey theme decorations including turning an existing wreath into a Mickey head with paper and tape so it could be easily removed.
Using the runners cards that were in my kit I personalized them for each kid in attendance with a Mickey to color and their name. I put out a bunch of stickers (Disney ones of course!) and crayons for their coloring pleasure. Each of the kids spent some time at this station, definitely a must for future kids parties.
I also blew up a bunch of the balloons from the kit for the kids to play with and pulled out all of our Disney toys and books. This definitely shows out Disneyside..At least half of their toys are from Disney movies.
For the food I went with a breakfast for dinner theme and invited the kiddos to wear their favorite Disney jammies. We ate pancakes and yummy breakfast casseroles. I also made cute little fruit bow-ties out of strawberries and blueberries.
After all that yummy breakfast food I made everyone Dole Whips as a sweet treat which everyone LOVED! Thank you to Disney and Spoonful.com
for the recipe!
2 cups frozen pineapple
1/4 milk of any choice (I used half and half)
a pinch of salt
2 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp lemon juice
Blend until you get a creamy consistency. We added a dolop of cool whip on top!
I Since we had adorable headbands we of course has to have a little photo sesh. Love my lil dudes!
And after our evening of Mickey fun we were geared up and excited to attend another Mickey party to celebrate Fletcher turning 2
Please Note that I received a hostess gift from Disney Parks and Mom Select as well as some parties supplies to host a Disney inspired party. I was in no way compensated or required to write a blog post. All opinion are 100% my own.
