Eating healthy is hard but it's one of those things that all of us should really be doing. Food is fuel is a motto I try to live by (although not always very successfully.) I can keep my eating under control pretty well during the day at work. In fact, I'm a fan of a picnic style lunch where I pack chopped up ham or chicken, cubed cheese, baby carrots, cucumbers, sliced tomato and an avocado. It's really tasty and certainly fills me up! I prep my food for the entire week and then just make a plate each day.
However, without fail I seem to get a sweet tooth. Sometimes I can curb it with a piece of fruit but there are other times where there is a desire for something rich and desserty! Ice cream is one of my all time favorite desserts so I've had to come up for way to have a cold, sweet concoction without all the extra fat and calories. One of my favorites is throwing ice, banana, and agave syrup in the blender and making a sort of banana freeze. The other day I saw an Almond Joy and was like... wait a minute! So the Chocolate Cocona Freeze was born. I just added a couple of snack size almond joys to the blender with the banana, ice and agave!
What You Need
-2 fun size Almond Joys
-1 teaspoon of agave syrup
-1 1/2 cups of ice
-sprinkle of fresh coconut for garnish (optional)
Place all ingredients into the blender and mix until smooth consistency. Sprinkle fresh coconut on top. Enjoy!
Do you have other fun concoctions you eat to curb your sweet tooth? Do you make any fun frozen drinks?
